Knit Hats for Sinai Hospital Newborns

Babies born at Sinai Hospital, immediately upon entering the world, receive a pink or blue knit hat to warm their heads. Many of these hats are knitted “with love” by residents of North Oaks, who gather several times each month. Good conversation is always mixed with the busy hands.

North Oaks residents proudly display a knitted blanket that will be used by women and children at The House of Ruth.

Blankets for The House of Ruth and CHANA

Local women in dangerous and desperate situations need many things, and warm clothing and blankets are among them. North Oaks residents take the time each month to create blankets for women living at The House of Ruth – a domestic violence safe house, as well as those involved with CHANA, an affiliate organization of Jewish Family Services. It warms the hearts of North Oaks residents to help others.
